THE YOGI - Feature Length Romantic Mockudramedy (pre-production)
Like 30 million other Americans seeking to merge spirituality and exercise, Jo, a 34 year-old, biological clock ticking, single black woman, discovers yoga. She manifests her own path by quitting her job as a financial analyst to become a full-time yoga instructor. As a former circus contortionist, the poses come easy, but in order to be even more marketable as a yoga teacher, Jo will need to fast track the spiritual component of her training. Our documentary crew follows several competitive posers representing yoga "dojos" from around the country as they prepare to compete in the yoga pose-off of the century - the Yogi Yoga Pose World Posing Championships, sponsored by Buddha Balm. Jo, whether she’s centered or not, is thrust into the finals and is on her way to winning the grand prize - a coveted Yogi studio co-franchise.
